How it Works:
What is the difference between SAT, ACT and GRE
SAT
The SAT (Scholastic Assessment Test) is designed to measure a student’s readiness for college. It also provides colleges with scores that allow them to compare potential students for admission. Overall, the higher you score on the SAT, the more options for attending and paying for college will be available to you.
ACT
The ACT (American College Test) is designed to provide colleges and universities with data on a student’s mastery of high school concepts and to help guide students in planning for life after high school. The higher you score on the ACT, the more options for attending and paying for college will be available to you.
GRE
The GRE (Graduate Record Examination) is used by graduate and business schools to make admission and fellowship decisions. Many graduate programs require scores from the GRE General Test as part of a complete application, and some also require or recommend scores from one or more GRE Subject Tests (biology, chemistry, English literature, math, physics, and psychology).
